State Government Seeks Faster Implementation of Key Schemes
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari will visit New Delhi on Friday as the state government intensifies efforts to accelerate the implementation of central schemes, strengthen infrastructure development, and attract fresh investments.
Suvendu Adhikari is scheduled to travel to New Delhi on Friday as the West Bengal government seeks to fast-track infrastructure projects, improve coordination with the Centre, and attract new investments to the state.
According to official sources, the Chief Minister will leave for the national capital after attending a government programme in the morning and is expected to return to Kolkata later in the day.
The visit comes at a crucial time as the newly formed BJP government in West Bengal focuses on accelerating the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes and strengthening the state’s development agenda.
Officials indicated that infrastructure expansion, industrial growth, and investment promotion remain key priorities for the government. The administration is also working to improve project execution and ensure timely utilization of central assistance for development initiatives.
The trip follows a series of policy announcements by the state government aimed at boosting economic growth. Recently, the government indicated plans to strengthen maritime infrastructure, explore the development of minor ports, and enhance inland water transport connectivity across the state.
West Bengal is also seeking to attract greater private investment in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, transportation, and infrastructure. The government believes that improved coordination with central ministries can help expedite approvals and unlock new opportunities for economic development.
While the detailed agenda of Adhikari’s Delhi visit has not been officially disclosed, political and administrative observers expect discussions related to infrastructure funding, industrial projects, and implementation of key welfare and development schemes.
The visit underscores the state’s efforts to position itself as an attractive destination for investment while pursuing closer engagement with the Union government on developmental priorities.
