CU Results Delay Sparks Protests at College Street

KOLKATA: Hundreds of students gathered outside the University of Calcutta (CU) campus on College Street today, protesting against the persistent delay in the publication of semester results. The students, many of whom are seeking admission to postgraduate courses and international universities, claim that the delay is jeopardizing their future prospects.

The university administration has cited “technical glitches” in the digital evaluation portal as the reason for the holdup. However, the student unions have alleged administrative apathy and a lack of transparency.

The protest led to massive traffic snarls in the central business district, with police forced to divert vehicles through Amherst Street. The Vice-Chancellor is expected to meet with a student delegation later this evening to provide a concrete timeline for the results.
