The second edition of Mango Magic: Promotion and Tasting Event of Indian Mangoes was successfully hosted in Seattle, bringing together leading fruit importers, distributors, and retail representatives from across the United States. The event was organized to promote India’s premium mango varieties and strengthen their presence in international markets.

According to the Consulate General of India in Seattle, more than 100 participants attended the event, including senior executives from major American retail chains such as Costco. Attendees were given an opportunity to taste and evaluate some of India’s most sought-after mango varieties, renowned globally for their flavor, aroma, and quality.

Seven premium mango varieties were showcased during the event. These included the famous Alphonso and Kesar mangoes from Maharashtra, Banganpalli and Himayat from Andhra Pradesh, Langra and Dussehri from Uttar Pradesh, and Ripe Rajapuri from Gujarat. The event highlighted the diversity of India’s mango-producing regions and the unique characteristics of each variety.

The tasting session also served as a platform for networking and business discussions between Indian exporters and US buyers. With consumer demand for exotic and premium fruits continuing to grow in North America, Indian authorities are actively promoting agricultural exports and expanding market access for domestic producers.

The success of the Seattle event reflects the increasing popularity of Indian mangoes in international markets and underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen agricultural trade ties between India and the United States. Industry stakeholders expressed optimism about expanding imports and enhancing the visibility of Indian mangoes among American consumers.
