Amazon Prime Video has officially announced that the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere on November 11. The streaming platform also confirmed that the epic fantasy drama has been renewed for a fourth season.

The announcement was made during Amazon’s annual Upfront presentation, where the company showcased its upcoming slate of entertainment content and major franchise releases.

Based on the legendary works of J. R. R. Tolkien, the series explores the Second Age of Middle-earth — a period set thousands of years before the events depicted in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

Since its debut in 2022, “The Rings of Power” has become one of Prime Video’s biggest global productions, known for its large-scale storytelling, visual effects, and exploration of iconic Tolkien lore. The second season was released in 2024 and further expanded the conflicts, kingdoms, and rise of dark forces in Middle-earth.

With a fourth season already in development, Amazon appears committed to continuing the long-form adaptation of Tolkien’s expansive universe for years to come.
