The Indian Institute of Mass Communication has started the e-counselling process for admissions to its six Master of Arts (MA) programmes and four Postgraduate Diploma courses for the academic session.
According to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, admissions to all programmes will be conducted exclusively through the online e-counselling process. Eligible candidates can register for counselling until Sunday through the official admissions portal.
The first round of seat allotment is scheduled to be announced on June 9. Candidates are advised to carefully follow the counselling schedule and complete all admission-related formalities within the stipulated timelines.

This year, IIMC has expanded its academic offerings by introducing three new MA programmes:
- MA in Health Communication
- MA in Media and Communication Governance
- MA in Corporate Communication and Brand Management
The addition of these programmes reflects the growing demand for specialized communication professionals in sectors such as healthcare, governance, public policy, corporate communications, branding, and strategic media management.
IIMC is one of India’s premier institutions for journalism, media studies, public relations, advertising, and communication education. The institute has played a significant role in training media professionals and communication specialists for decades.
Prospective students seeking information regarding eligibility, seat allocation, counselling procedures, and programme details have been advised to visit the official IIMC website. The institute has also provided email support for admission-related queries.
The introduction of new specialized programmes is expected to attract students interested in emerging areas of communication studies and further strengthen IIMC’s position as a leading center for media and communication education in India.
