Rohit Jain Appointed RBI Deputy Governor for Three-Year Term
Replaces T Rabi Sankar; appointment approved by Appointments Committee of Cabinet
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed Rohit Jain as its new Deputy Governor for a three-year term.
Jain will succeed T Rabi Sankar, whose extended tenure concluded on Saturday.
The appointment has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), with Jain set to assume office on or after May 3.


Officials said the tenure will be for a period of three years from the date of joining. The appointment comes at a time when the central bank continues to focus on monetary policy stability, financial regulation, and economic growth.
