The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested another accused in connection with the NEET-UG 2026 examination paper leak case.

According to the agency, the accused, Shivaraj Motegaonkar, is the owner of RCC Coaching Institute based in Latur.

Officials said the institute operates nine branches, with its main branch located in Latur, and provides coaching for students preparing for the NEET-UG 2026 examination.

The CBI alleged that Motegaonkar was closely associated with P V Kulkarni, a chemistry lecturer linked to the National Testing Agency (NTA) and previously arrested in the case.

According to investigators, searches conducted at the coaching institute and the accused’s residence led to the recovery of a chemistry question bank containing questions that exactly matched those appearing in the NEET-UG examination held on May 3.

The agency is continuing its investigation into the alleged leak and broader conspiracy surrounding the examination.

The NEET-UG paper leak case has led to multiple arrests across different states, with the CBI probing alleged links involving coaching centres, intermediaries, and individuals associated with the examination process.

Officials are also examining whether leaked questions were circulated to students before the examination through organised coaching sessions and networks.

The case has triggered nationwide concern regarding the integrity and security of competitive examinations in India.
