Tamil Cinema Industry Shocked by Producer’s Death

Veteran Tamil film producer K Rajan died on Sunday after allegedly jumping into the Adyar River in Chennai, according to police officials.

Police said the incident is being treated as a case of suicide, though the reasons behind the extreme step are not yet known.

According to police sources, the 85-year-old producer was travelling in a car when he asked the driver to stop while crossing the Adyar bridge.

Officials said that shortly after the vehicle halted, Rajan reportedly stepped out of the car and jumped into the river.

Authorities launched rescue and recovery operations following the incident. Further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to his death.

K Rajan was a well-known figure in the Tamil film industry and had been associated with film production and industry-related activities for several decades.

His death has shocked members of the Tamil cinema fraternity and film industry circles.
