Motorcycle Sales Drive Big Surge for Hero MotoCorp
Strong domestic demand drives over 5.66 lakh unit sales; motorcycle segment leads growth
Hero MotoCorp on Friday reported a sharp 85% year-on-year increase in dispatches to dealers, with total volumes reaching 5,66,086 units in April 2026 compared to 3,05,406 units in the same month last year.
The growth was primarily driven by robust domestic demand, with sales in India rising to 5,32,433 units from 2,88,524 units in April 2025, the company said in a statement.
Motorcycle sales formed the bulk of the volume, increasing significantly to 5,01,791 units, up from 2,86,089 units in the year-ago period.
The strong performance marks a solid start to the financial year for the country’s largest two-wheeler maker, reflecting improved market sentiment and demand recovery in the segment.
