BJP, TMC and Congress Intensify Battle Ahead of April 29 Voting

Campaigning for the second phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections, scheduled for April 29, has intensified with major political parties stepping up outreach efforts across the state.

Nitin Nabin today held a roadshow in Baranagar. In a social media post, he said the state is ready to reclaim its glory and decisively reject the politics of fear.

Suvendu Adhikari launched a sharp attack on Mamata Banerjee and the All India Trinamool Congress, alleging corruption and appeasement politics.

Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s electoral prospects, stating that the party is on course for major victories in both Assam and West Bengal.

Meanwhile, TMC leader Kunal Ghosh claimed that the party performed strongly in the first phase of polling and asserted that the TMC would retain power in the state.

On the other hand, Indian National Congress Rajya Sabha MPs Pramod Tiwari and Akhilesh Prasad said the party would play a decisive role in government formation after the elections.

Congress is contesting the West Bengal Assembly polls independently and without any alliance after two decades.
