TMC Candidate Saokat Molla Declares No Pending Criminal Cases

Trinamool Congress candidate Saokat Molla, contesting from the Bhangar Assembly seat in West Bengal, has declared in his affidavit to the Election Commission that no criminal cases are pending against him. The disclosure comes amid allegations from opposition parties, including the ISF and BJP, linking him to incidents of violence in the constituency.

According to the affidavit filed with his nomination papers, Molla owns immovable assets worth ₹1.54 crore, while his spouse holds immovable property valued at ₹1.18 crore. Molla was previously elected to the West Bengal Assembly in 2021 from the Purba Canning constituency in South 24 Parganas district on a TMC ticket.
