KKR Captain Ajinkya Rahane Fined ₹12 Lakh

Ajinkya Rahane, captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, has been fined ₹12 lakh for maintaining a slow over-rate during their IPL 2026 match against Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The penalty was imposed following KKR’s 32-run defeat to CSK on Tuesday, which extended Kolkata’s winless streak in the tournament this season. The sanction was confirmed in an official IPL media advisory after Match No. 22 of the TATA Indian Premier League 2026.
