Rs 38 lakh recovered from vehicle in Kolkata

Police on Sunday recovered around Rs 38 lakh in cash from a vehicle in Kolkata’s Tollygunje area, officials said.

The cash was recovered from an SUV stationed near Plywood House More on N S C Bose Road in Netajinagar area, a senior Kolkata Police officer said.

The seized amount was handed over to the Income Tax Department and the owner of the vehicle, a resident of Alipore area and a businessman, was being interrogated, he said.
