Peace Needed in Region, Says Iranian Representative in Hyderabad
Amid concerns over the reported shooting incident involving two Indian-flagged ships in the Strait of Hormuz, Dr Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India, said ties between Iran and India remain strong.
Speaking in Hyderabad, he said he was not aware of the specific incident but expressed hope that the matter would be resolved peacefully.
He further stressed that Iran does not want war and seeks peace in the region, adding that lasting stability would depend on all sides choosing dialogue and restraint.
