Kedarnath Temple to Open on April 22

The sacred portals of Kedarnath Temple, one of Hinduism’s most revered pilgrimage sites, will open for devotees on April 22, 2026, marking the start of this year’s pilgrimage season in accordance with traditional rituals and Sanatan customs.

To ensure a safe and smooth pilgrimage, the Uttarakhand government has intensified preparations for the annual Char Dham Yatra. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Rudraprayag district to review arrangements on the ground.

As part of his inspection, the Chief Minister traveled along National Highway-107 from Rudraprayag to Guptkashi to assess road conditions and infrastructure readiness, focusing on ensuring smooth movement and safety for pilgrims heading to Kedarnath.
