Kedarnath Temple in Rudraprayag is witnessing an unprecedented wave of devotion this year, with more than 2.07 lakh pilgrims visiting the shrine within just one week of the yatra.

Since the temple gates opened on April 22, a steady and overwhelming rush of devotees has been reported at Kedarnath Dham. On the seventh day of the pilgrimage, over 21,000 devotees offered prayers at the revered shrine of Baba Kedar.

Vishal Mishra said that despite frequent rains and natural challenges, the strong faith and enthusiasm of devotees have led to the remarkable turnout in a short period.

He added that authorities are ensuring smooth management of the pilgrimage through token systems, queue regulation, and essential facilities such as toilets and services along the trekking route. Police personnel, sector officers, and administrative teams have been deployed to ensure a safe and hassle-free yatra under the guidance of the state government.
