BCCI Announces Strong 15-Member Squad for Afghanistan ODIs
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the Indian squad for the upcoming three-match One Day International series against Afghanistan national cricket team. The team features senior stars including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya, while also providing opportunities to emerging players such as Prince Yadav, Gurnoor Brar and Harsh Dubey.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the Indian squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against the Afghanistan national cricket team.
The squad will be led by Rohit Sharma and includes experienced players such as Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya.
Young batter Shubman Gill has also been named in the squad alongside middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer and wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan.
The selection committee has included several emerging players including Prince Yadav, Gurnoor Brar, Nitish Reddy and Harsh Dubey, indicating a balanced approach between experienced campaigners and fresh talent ahead of future international assignments.
The bowling department features left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh, spinner Kuldeep Yadav and fast bowler Prasidh Krishna.
All-rounder Washington Sundar also returns to strengthen the spin and batting combination in the ODI setup.
