President Paudel Calls Joint Session of Nepal Parliament

Session to be held at Singha Durbar following Cabinet recommendation under constitutional provisions

Ramchandra Paudel, President of Nepal, has summoned a joint session of both houses of the federal parliament for May 11.

The meeting will be held at 2 PM on Monday at the Federal Parliament Building in Singha Durbar, following a recommendation made by the Council of Ministers during a meeting at the same venue.

As per Article 93(1) of the Constitution of Nepal, the President convenes sessions of Parliament based on the advice of the Cabinet. The move comes after an earlier session scheduled for April 30 was postponed on the government’s recommendation.

The upcoming session is expected to set the stage for key legislative and administrative proceedings in the country.
