NDA Set to Form Government in Puducherry with Comfortable Majority
AINRC leads alliance with 12 seats; Rangasamy re-elected from Thattanchavady
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is set to form the next government in Puducherry after securing a majority of 18 seats in the 30-member Assembly.
Among the alliance partners, the All India N.R. Congress (AINRC), led by Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, emerged as the dominant force with 12 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 4 seats, while allies All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and Latchiya Jananayaga Katchi (LJK) secured one seat each.
N. Rangasamy has been re-elected from the Thattanchavady constituency, reaffirming his leadership in the Union Territory.
Meanwhile, BJP leader and Home Minister A Namassivayam also registered a victory in his constituency.
The results indicate a stable mandate for the NDA, positioning it to continue governance in Puducherry.
