Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Odisha next month to participate in the second anniversary celebrations of the BJP government in the state.

Speaking at an event organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in Bhubaneswar, Majhi said he had personally met the Prime Minister in New Delhi earlier this week and extended an invitation for the occasion.

According to the Chief Minister, the Prime Minister’s Office has responded positively to the proposal, although the exact date of the visit is yet to be finalised.

The anniversary event is expected to highlight the achievements and initiatives undertaken by the BJP government since assuming office in Odisha. Party leaders are reportedly preparing a series of public programmes and outreach activities to mark the occasion.

A visit by Prime Minister Modi would be politically significant, as Odisha remains an important state for the BJP’s expansion and governance agenda. The proposed visit is also expected to include interactions with party workers, public representatives, and beneficiaries of various government schemes.
