Cyprus Seeks Stronger Partnership with India Ahead of Presidential Visit

India is expected to strengthen its presence in Europe through closer ties with Cyprus, as Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides is scheduled to visit India next month.

Cyprus High Commissioner to India Evagoras Vryonides said the President will arrive in Mumbai on May 20 before travelling to New Delhi on May 22.

The visit is expected to provide momentum to bilateral relations and expand cooperation in trade, investment and strategic sectors.

Vryonides also referred to the Joint Action Plan signed between the two countries in June last year during Narendra Modi’s visit to Cyprus, which laid the groundwork for stronger diplomatic and economic engagement.
