The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting to elect the legislative leader in Kerala is scheduled to be held on Thursday afternoon at the KPCC headquarters, as the party prepares to formally announce its chief ministerial candidate.

According to a statement issued by Sunny Joseph on Wednesday, the meeting will begin at 1 pm on May 14.

The development comes amid growing anticipation within political circles over who will be chosen to lead the Congress legislature party and potentially become the next chief minister of Kerala.

Party sources indicated that the Congress high command is expected to end the suspense surrounding the leadership decision on Thursday, nearly 10 days after the Assembly election results were declared.
