FMCG Major Emami Bets Big on Beauty and Personal Care Segment
Emami Ltd has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Hyderabad-based IncNut Digital Pvt Ltd to expand its footprint in the beauty and personal care market.
Emami Ltd on Thursday announced that it will acquire a 60 per cent stake in Hyderabad-based IncNut Digital Pvt Ltd for Rs 321 crore as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing beauty and personal care segment.
According to a company statement, Emami has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the majority stake in IncNut Digital along with its subsidiaries and associate entities.
The Kolkata-based FMCG major said the transaction includes performance-linked adjustments that will be evaluated over a period of 24 months.
The acquisition is expected to help Emami expand its digital-first beauty and skincare portfolio while strengthening its reach among younger and online-focused consumers.
IncNut Digital Pvt Ltd is known for operating in the beauty and wellness sector, an area that has seen rapid growth driven by increasing online shopping and rising consumer demand for premium personal care products.
Industry experts believe the move reflects a broader trend among established FMCG companies to invest in digital-native brands and direct-to-consumer businesses to capture evolving market opportunities.
Emami Ltd is one of India’s leading FMCG firms with a strong presence across healthcare, skincare and personal care categories.
