Heatwave Alert Issued for Chhattisgarh, MP, UP and Odisha Tomorrow

The India Meteorological Department has forecast heatwave conditions at isolated places over Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, and Vidarbha tomorrow.

Hot and humid weather is also likely to prevail over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.

The weather agency said maximum temperatures may gradually rise by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi during the next six days, indicating intensifying summer conditions in northern India.

Meanwhile, heavy rainfall has been predicted at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh and the Sub-Himalayan regions of West Bengal and Sikkim.
