A special court in Kolkata on Wednesday remanded 15 more individuals to the custody of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) till June 5 in connection with the attack on judicial officers in Mothabari, officials said.

The accused were arrested during a series of raids conducted by the NIA in Mothabari and adjoining areas late Monday night.

During the court hearing, the agency reportedly submitted two case diaries detailing the progress of the investigation.

According to NIA sources, the suspects were identified through analysis of CCTV footage captured on the day of the incident as well as various video clips that later circulated on social media platforms.

Investigators have also seized 15 mobile phones from the arrested individuals, which are being examined as part of the ongoing probe.

The case pertains to the attack on judicial officers in the Malda region, which triggered a major investigation involving central agencies. Authorities are continuing efforts to identify additional individuals allegedly linked to the incident.
