Chennai–Howrah Superfast Express Rescheduled by 2.5 Hours

Train No. 12840 to depart at 9:30 PM instead of 7:00 PM due to late arrival of pairing train

Passengers travelling on Train No. 12840, the Chennai–Howrah Superfast Express, have been informed of a delay in departure from Dr. MGR Chennai Central.

The train, originally scheduled to depart at 7:00 PM on May 1, 2026, will now leave at 9:30 PM, resulting in a delay of 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Railway authorities stated that the rescheduling is due to the late arrival of the pairing train, which has affected the turnaround time.

Passengers are advised to plan their journey accordingly and check for further updates from railway officials.
