Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to the nation on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha through a social media.
In his message, the Prime Minister wished for greater harmony and happiness in society and prayed for the well-being and success of people across the country.
“Eid ul-Adha greetings! May this occasion deepen the spirit of brotherhood and happiness in our society. Praying for everyone’s success and good health,” Modi wrote in his post.
Eid ul-Adha, also known as Bakrid, is one of the most significant festivals celebrated by Muslims worldwide. The festival symbolises sacrifice, compassion, charity, and devotion, with families and communities gathering for prayers and celebrations.
Political leaders, religious organisations, and public figures from across India also conveyed greetings on the occasion, emphasising communal harmony, peace, and unity.
