Offline Registration for Char Dham Yatra Begins
Offline registration for the annual Char Dham Yatra commenced yesterday, with 2,713 pilgrims completing physical registration on the first day ahead of the pilgrimage’s start on Sunday. According to official figures, 683 devotees registered for Yamunotri, 690 for Gangotri, 667 for Kedarnath, and 673 for Badrinath through offline counters.
Authorities said dedicated teams are also visiting various transit points to assist devotees with on-site registration and streamline travel arrangements.
Meanwhile, the online registration portal, which opened on March 6, continues to receive strong response, with nearly 18.23 lakh pilgrims signing up digitally so far. With both online and offline enrolments combined, total registrations have now crossed 18.25 lakh. The yatra will officially begin on April 19 on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
