The sharp hike is expected to impact businesses such as restaurants, hotels, and small food vendors that rely heavily on commercial LPG cylinders for daily operations.

However, there is some relief for households as there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders. Officials confirmed that the revision applies only to commercial cylinders, leaving household cooking gas rates unaffected for now.

The increase comes amid fluctuating global energy prices and is likely to have a cascading effect on food and service costs in the coming days.
