Prasoon Joshi Honoured at Goafest Following Prasar Bharati Appointment

The Indian advertising, media, and communications fraternity felicitated Prasoon Joshi at Goafest 2026 on Thursday following his appointment as chairman of Prasar Bharati.

The honour recognised Joshi’s long-standing contributions to the creative and communication industries as well as his new leadership role in shaping India’s public broadcasting landscape.

Goafest 2026 was jointly organised by the Advertising Agencies Association of India and The Advertising Club, bringing together professionals from advertising, media, marketing, and entertainment sectors.

Apart from his newly assumed role at Prasar Bharati, Prasoon Joshi also serves as chairman of Omnicom Advertising India. He is widely regarded as one of India’s leading creative voices, with an influential career spanning advertising campaigns, film songwriting, literature, and public communication.

Joshi has been associated with several iconic advertising campaigns and acclaimed film songs over the years, earning recognition for blending creativity with cultural and social narratives. Industry leaders at the event praised his ability to influence both commercial communication and public discourse through his work.
