Orange Alert Issued as Odisha Braces for Stormy Weather

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by rain, lightning, and gusty winds across several parts of Odisha over the next six days.

According to the IMD’s Bhubaneswar centre, districts including Sambalpur, Angul, Keonjhar, Boudh, Kandhamal, Sundergarh, and Deogarh are likely to experience heavy rainfall and stormy conditions on Tuesday.

The weather agency has issued an ‘orange warning’, advising residents and authorities to be prepared for potentially disruptive weather.

Officials have urged people to remain cautious during thunderstorms, particularly due to risks from lightning and strong winds.
