Rain, Gusty Winds Likely in South Bengal During Second Phase Voting
India Meteorological Department on Tuesday issued a warning for thunderstorms and gusty winds across south West Bengal on April 29, the day of the second phase of the state assembly elections.
In a special bulletin, the weather department said favourable wind patterns and strong moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal are likely to trigger thunderstorms and related weather activity across the state over the next one week.
The second phase of the West Bengal Assembly Election will be held on April 29, covering several districts in south Bengal, including Kolkata. Authorities are expected to closely monitor weather conditions during polling.
