Heatwave to Continue Till Tomorrow in North and Central India

The India Meteorological Department has forecast heatwave conditions over several parts of the country till tomorrow, including Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and the Vidarbha region.

The weather agency has also predicted hot and humid conditions tomorrow over Coastal Karnataka, Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and parts of the North East region.

Meanwhile, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, South Interior Karnataka, Telangana and Uttarakhand during the next two to three days.

Similar thunderstorm activity is also expected over North Interior Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim over the next few days.

The IMD has advised people in heatwave-hit areas to stay hydrated and avoid direct sun exposure during peak afternoon hours.
