Shekhar Kapur to Direct Amazon Series Based on Novel ‘My Name is Memory’

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur on Monday announced that he will direct and produce a major series adaptation of the bestselling novel My Name is Memory.

Kapur said he has signed with Amazon Studios in the United States for the project, which he described as a “tentpole series.”

Written by Ann Brashares, author of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, the 2010 novel follows Daniel, a mysterious boy who remembers his past lives. He searches for a girl named Sophia while trying to find her before her vengeful centuries-old brother Joaquim.

Kapur confirmed the development in a post on social media platform X.
