Heatwave Grips Chhattisgarh as Raipur Temperature Crosses 43°C
A severe heatwave has gripped Chhattisgarh, with temperatures in Raipur crossing 43 degrees Celsius amid rising summer conditions. Meteorologist Dr Gayatri Vani said the temperature has increased by 3 to 4 degrees over the past week and the prevailing conditions are likely to continue for more than three days.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Central Chhattisgarh, warning residents of sustained high temperatures. A slight drop in maximum temperatures is expected after three days.
Authorities have advised the public to avoid outdoor activities between 12 PM and 4 PM, stay hydrated, and take precautions against heat-related illnesses.
