Iranian Missiles Hit Haifa Residential Hub; 2 Dead, Search for Missing Continues

Retaliatory strikes from Iran struck the northern Israeli city of Haifa on Monday morning, resulting in a direct hit on a seven-story residential building. Israeli emergency services (Magen David Adom) have recovered two bodies from the debris, while firefighters and canine units continue to search for at least two individuals still missing. The missile tore through the center of the structure, causing a partial collapse of the upper floors.

The strike on Haifa represents one of the most successful penetrations of Israel’s multi-layered air defense system in recent weeks. Local authorities have ordered residents in the Haifa bay area to remain close to fortified shelters as the threat of follow-up drone swarms remains high. The IDF has vowed a “harsh and disproportionate” response to the targeting of Israeli civilians, further diminishing hopes for a quick diplomatic resolution to the five-week-old war.
