Amarnath Yatra Continues from Baltal Despite Jammu Route Suspension
The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra from Jammu towards Baltal has been temporarily suspended due to adverse weather and difficult road conditions along parts of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. However, the pilgrimage from Baltal to the Holy Cave continues normally.
The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra from Jammu towards Baltal has been suspended today due to prevailing bad weather and challenging road conditions at several locations along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The precautionary suspension has been imposed to ensure the safety of pilgrims travelling towards the base camp.
However, the pilgrimage from Baltal towards the Holy Cave Shrine continues as usual. Around 2,500 pilgrims have completed Darshan at the Holy Cave since morning, indicating that the pilgrimage remains operational on the Baltal route despite the disruption affecting movement from Jammu.
Pilgrims who had already completed Darshan were permitted to leave Baltal and travel towards Jammu. Authorities are continuing to monitor weather and road conditions before allowing the suspended movement from Jammu towards Baltal to resume.
