Advance Registration for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Begins Today
Advance registration for the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra begins today through both online and offline modes at 554 designated bank branches across India, the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) announced.
The 57-day pilgrimage will commence on July 3 and conclude on August 28 on Raksha Bandhan, while the Pratham Puja will be held on June 29 on Jyeshtha Purnima to invoke the blessings of Lord Shiva.
Registration will be carried out on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to fixed daily quotas for each route. Pilgrims can register through branches of J&K Bank, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, and Yes Bank. Each registered pilgrim and service provider will receive a Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID), along with group accident insurance coverage of ₹10 lakh per person. Eligibility is restricted to pilgrims aged 13 to 70 years, while women more than six weeks pregnant are not permitted to undertake the Yatra.
A valid Compulsory Health Certificate issued on or after April 8, 2026, by authorized medical institutions is mandatory for registration.
