Young Indian Hockey Stars Set for AHF Junior Asia Cup 2026 Challenge
Hockey India has announced the 18-member Indian junior women’s hockey team for the AHF Junior Asia Cup 2026, scheduled to be held in Moqi, China, from August 30 to September 13. The tournament will feature the best junior women’s teams from across Asia and provide an important stage for emerging hockey talent.
The selected squad includes 18 players along with two alternate players. Midfielder Khaidem Shileima Chanu has been appointed captain and will lead the side during the continental competition. The team enters the tournament following an extensive training camp under newly appointed head coach Tim White, who assumed charge earlier this year.
The AHF Junior Asia Cup 2026 is expected to serve as a crucial platform for the development of young players and an opportunity for them to showcase their skills against the continent’s strongest junior teams. The tournament’s match schedule and pool allocations will be announced closer to the start of the competition.
