India Unveils Balanced Squad for T20 World Cup Challenge
Harmanpreet Kaur to lead; Yastika Bhatia, Bharti Fulmali and Nandini Sharma included
he Board of Control for Cricket in India (Women) has announced the 15-member Indian squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, with Harmanpreet Kaur leading the side and Smriti Mandhana named vice-captain.
The squad features a mix of experienced players and fresh inclusions, including Bharti Fulmali, Yastika Bhatia, and uncapped player Nandini Sharma.
Key players such as Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh (wicketkeeper), and Deepti Sharma are part of the squad, alongside bowlers like Renuka Singh Thakur and Radha Yadav.
The announcement comes ahead of India’s three-match T20I tour of England, which will serve as preparation for the World Cup beginning June 12.
Meanwhile, players such as Pratika Rawal and Harleen Deol have been left out, while injuries have ruled out Amanjot Kaur and Kashvee Gautam.
