Vice President Holds Talks with Sri Lanka President in Colombo
Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan called on Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo today.
The two leaders held discussions on strengthening the multifaceted India–Sri Lanka partnership, rooted in shared history and cultural ties. Radhakrishnan reaffirmed India’s commitment to its Neighbourhood First Policy and to expanding bilateral cooperation for the benefit of both countries.
The talks also covered ongoing development initiatives, including the Indian Housing Project and projects being implemented under the 450 million dollar assistance package for areas affected by Cyclone Ditwah in Sri Lanka.
During his two-day official visit, the Vice President is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, other leaders, and members of the Indian community.
