Annalena Baerbock, President of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, will visit India next week and hold several bilateral meetings with government officials.

Her spokesperson, La Neice Collins, said Baerbock will undertake official travel to New Delhi and later to China at the invitation of both governments.

During her India visit, Baerbock is scheduled to hold multiple bilateral meetings with Indian officials and meet the UN country team in India led by Stefan Priesner.

This will be her first visit to India in her capacity as UNGA President. She had earlier travelled to the country while serving as Germany’s foreign minister.

After concluding her engagements in India, Baerbock will travel to China, where she is expected to meet government representatives and the UN country team led by Stephen Jackson.
