Congress, TMC, SP, DMK Discuss New Motion Against CEC
Opposition parties are planning a fresh move to seek the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar after their earlier notices were rejected, according to sources.
Leaders from several opposition parties are understood to be in discussions, with senior Members of Parliament from the Indian National Congress, All India Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam among those reportedly involved in drafting a new notice.
Sources said it has not yet been decided whether the notice will be moved in the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, or in both Houses of Parliament, as attempted earlier. Further consultations among opposition leaders are expected in the coming days.
