CEC Gyanesh Kumar Vows Free, Fair and Fear-Free Polls in West Bengal

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on Monday said the Election Commission of India will leave no stone unturned to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections in West Bengal, where the first phase of polling is scheduled for April 23.

Interacting with officials involved in poll management, the CEC said the elections would be fear-free, violence-free, and intimidation-free.

Officials added that the Commission will also work to ensure inducement-free polling and prevent incidents such as booth jamming, with enhanced monitoring and security arrangements in place.
