Former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter and former Nizamabad council member K. Kavitha was earlier arrested in the Delhi liquor scam case and lodged in Tihar Jail. She was initially accused of being involved in the case, which was said to be worth around Rs 100 crore. But after the investigation, the court found her not involved and acquitted her.

Following this, reports emerged that Kavitha, who had left the Bharat Rashtra Samithi party, was planning to start a new party soon. Following her acquittal in the case, she went to the Tirupati Ezhumalaiyan temple with her family to have darshan and fulfill her vows.

In this situation, Central Intelligence Agency officials who went to her house in Hyderabad yesterday issued a summons stating that they intend to appeal in the High Court. Kavitha has promised to consult her lawyers and face the legal action.
