Bhagwant Mann Slams ED Raids on Sanjeev Arora
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has strongly criticised the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over searches conducted at the residence of Punjab MLA and Minister Sanjeev Arora, alleging that opposition leaders are being selectively targeted.
Reacting to the raid in Chandigarh, Mann said similar action had recently been taken against Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal and accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of using central agencies as part of preparations for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections. He claimed that democracy was being undermined and alleged that only non-BJP governments were being implicated through such actions.
The ED searches are linked to an ongoing probe, though official details of the case are awaited.
