Banerjee Warns Legal Action After Rally Disruption Claim

Mamata Banerjee cut short her speech at an election rally in her Bhabanipur constituency, alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party was deliberately playing loud music from a nearby public meeting.

A visibly upset Banerjee said that despite having the required permission from the Election Commission of India, her rally at Chakraberia was disrupted.

She accused the BJP of trying to capture West Bengal through intimidation and threats.

Banerjee said it was not possible for her to continue the meeting under such circumstances and warned that she would take legal action if such incidents continued.

The episode comes amid high-voltage campaigning ahead of the next phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections, where political rivalry between the TMC and BJP has sharply intensified.
