In Andhra Pradesh, Tirupati District Revenue Officer Narasimhulu today reviewed the progress of pre-revision activities under SIR 2026 in accordance with directions issued by the Election Commission of India.

The review meeting was conducted through video conference with Electoral Registration Officers, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, tahsildars, municipal commissioners, and booth-level officers from all seven constituencies in Tirupati district.

Expressing concern over low electoral mapping percentages, the DRO instructed officials to intensify efforts. Polling stations with less than 10 per cent coverage were specifically flagged, and booth-level officers were directed to improve performance immediately.

He warned that strict action would be taken against officials who fail to meet targets, adding that show-cause notices had already been issued earlier to personnel from underperforming booths.

Special Deputy Collectors Bharat Naik and Rosmond, along with officials from all constituencies, attended the review meeting.
