Second CNG Price Hike in Two Days Announced
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) prices have been raised by Re 1 per kilogram in Delhi-NCR from today, marking the second price hike within two days.
CNG prices have been increased by Re 1 per kilogram across Delhi-NCR with effect from today, continuing the recent upward revision in fuel prices.
Following the latest hike, CNG in New Delhi will now cost Rs 80.09 per kilogram.
In the Noida and Ghaziabad region, the revised price has been fixed at Rs 88.70 per kilogram.
This is the second increase in CNG rates within two days. Earlier, on May 15, prices had already been raised by Rs 2 per kilogram.
The repeated increase in CNG prices comes amid rising energy costs and fluctuations in global fuel markets. Analysts say higher input and transportation costs are contributing to the upward revision in domestic gas prices.
The latest hike is expected to impact daily commuters, commercial transport operators, cab aggregators, and auto-rickshaw drivers who rely heavily on CNG as a comparatively economical and cleaner fuel alternative.
Fuel price revisions in the country have intensified in recent weeks following increases in global crude oil and energy prices.
