Trainee Pilot Escapes Serious Injury After Technical Snag During Low-Altitude Flight
A training aircraft belonging to Red Bird Aviation crash-landed near Baramati airport in Pune district on Wednesday morning, police officials said.
According to Sandeep Singh Gill, the incident occurred around 8:50 am near Gojubavi village adjacent to the airport.
Preliminary information gathered from eyewitnesses suggests that the aircraft developed a technical snag while flying at a low altitude. During the emergency landing attempt, a portion of the aircraft reportedly struck a light pole before crashing onto the ground.
Police said only one trainee pilot was on board at the time of the incident. Fortunately, the pilot escaped without sustaining any serious injuries.
Soon after receiving information about the crash, police teams rushed to the spot and initiated necessary inquiry and investigation procedures. Authorities are currently examining the circumstances that led to the technical failure and emergency landing.
